Coqui International (now Coqui Stores) was born in May 1998 in Palmer, Puerto Rico. Originally founded as a hand crafted natural soap company, we quickly became a very unique gift store. Our main store, located in the small town of Palmer, is nestled between The Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort and El Yunque National Rain Forest. We offer a creative 4,000 square foot artistan gift shop and fine Art Gallery featuring some of the most talented (and fun!) artists in Puerto Rico.
As you enter our store, you'll immediately know that you've stumbled on to something special! We've created 17 individual galleries as you enter the store showcasing some very talented artists & artisans. Fine paintings in Oil, Acrylic, Water Color, Pastels & Photography. We've also themed some of the galleries with unique products such as Wind Chimes, Ceramics, Hammocks & more!
Our web site is designed to offer you a good idea of what you'll discover at our store, though considering our inventory, it is almost impossible for us to have the entire stores product photographed and shown here, I'm sorry to say! So you'll just have to come in and have a look around for yourself! :)
We are the perfect stop on your way to or coming back from El Yunque, the National Rain Forest. We are open 7 days a week, Monday thru Thursdays 10:00am - 6:00pm and Sundays 12:00 Noon - 6:00pm. And, in case you're going into a shopping frenzy, as long as your foot enters the store by 6:00pm--we'll gladly stay open for you until you've shopped till you've dropped!
